What Is A Blog

What Is A Blog?

In general a blog features articles on a particular topic. These articles are usually displayed as a list of short article descriptions in date order with the newest article at the top. The reader will view the brief summary and click-through to read the entire article.
Blogs can also be presented as a more traditional looking website where the best content is featured in a more grid-like fashion. These days, there is very little difference between a blog and a static website – modern blog sites can be configured as a blog, a static website, or both. It’s really up to you.
Most blogs focus on a particular topic, such as sports, fashion, beauty, or home improvement. Some blogs are much more broad and cover multiple topics like local news and current events. They can also be more personal, like a travel journal or your life story. Blogs can also be used to promote and sell various products and services like an online storefront, lead generation for a consulting business, and even online education and training of all sorts.

What Do Bloggers Do?

There are essentially 3 things bloggers do on a daily basis:
1. Write about stuff
2. Share what they’ve written with others
3. Make money from the stuff they’ve written
Yes, this is a bit of an over-simplification, but that is blogging in a nutshell. If you are able to these  things over and over again, you will be a successful blogger.

Why Start a Blog?

Starting a blog can be a solid way to make long-term income or to promote an existing business. Maybe you just want to share your story… A blog is a great way to do that too. In short, a blog is simply the best, fastest, and easiest way to create your online persona.
Here’s the big difference between making money online and going to a job every day. If you do it right, the work you do today, this week, and this year – will continue making money for years to come. It’s an investment rather than trading time for money.
